Sport Medicine combines general medical principles with the techniques of sport science to help anyone, of any age, remain active. The therapies developed for athletes can readily be applied to anyone with joint and muscle pain.
Sport Medicine also integrates the expertise of a team of therapists to help you recover from injury and get “back in your game”.

Is it necessary to have a referral to see us?
NO. However if you have an extended insurance plan, which covers therapy, you may need a referral from a physician.
What is the method of payment?
Assessment and treatment by physicians are covered by OHIP. Coverage for the therapy services is available through Extended Health Plans, WSIB and Motor Vehicle Accident Insurance. Our staff will assist you with any questions regarding coverage.

Sport Medicine Doctor, Dr. John Bowman was a family practitioner and now specializes in sport medicine. He is a fitness and sport enthusiast and has a diploma in Sport Medicine from the Canadian Academy of Sport Medicine. He is certified by the Society of Orthopedic Medicine of Great Britain and has expertise in injection therapy. He is also a member of the Canadian Academy of Sport Medicine.
